Blogging With the Baby

Tonight I have a very special job.  This is the first time I have gotten to babysit Kieran.  He sits on my knee and is trying to help me with the typing.  Actually we are back to the hunt and peck method since he has to be held fairly firmly as he wobbles around a bit still.

He woke up hollering a few minutes ago and I think he is in need of some nourishment or a change of diaper.  If it’s not one end it is usually the other!

Well that seems to be taken care of – he was hungry.  !!!!! Oh No!!!!  I hear some nasty noises coming from the other end.  And a funny smell!  I think I still remember what that means!  Talk to you guys later.

I think we’ve got a few years to go yet. I HOPE we’ve got a few years to go. It’s bad enough being a parent when you’re only 15 inside, but becoming a grandparent! Let’s just skip over that for a bit, OK?

Two and a half years ago when we first found out that we were going to be grandparents – I was not ready at all. It was quite a traumatic experience. I was not old enough – no way! Then it happened and we went through the loss part and we were suddenly very ready. The babysitting part though – well after I fed and changed the little guy, he started to holler. Wouldn’t stop for a looong time. I am glad that grandparents can give the babes back to their parents.

  3. I nearly lost it today in worship, while I was leading the prayer or something, and I looked over at Leo, and this little, wide eyed twerp was sitting on His lap, seemingly following my every word.

Man he looked funny! (The baby, not Leo)(although Leo may have looked funny too…)
